The role
We are looking for a Compliance and KYC Analyst to own client due diligence across the group. Based in Dubai, you will review KYC files for clients of our Dubai, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Geneva offices. Clean, complete files are the base of everything we do, from company setup to bank introductions, so this role has a direct impact on our clients and our reputation.
Key responsibilities
- Run client due diligence at onboarding: identity checks, UBO identification, source of funds and source of wealth review.
- Screen clients, directors, shareholders and related parties against sanctions, PEP and adverse media lists (World Check or similar).
- Assess and document the risk level of each client and escalate high risk cases with a clear recommendation.
- Run periodic reviews and KYC refreshes, and follow up on missing or expired documents.
- Keep KYC files complete, consistent and ready for review by banks, regulators and auditors.
- Work with the onboarding, banking and corporate teams in all offices so new clients are accepted quickly and correctly.
- Support UBO register, Economic Substance and other compliance filings with the administration teams.
- Help maintain our AML and KYC policies, checklists and templates, in line with UAE rules and the rules of our other locations.
- Monitor regulatory updates and share short, practical notes with the team.
Requirements
- Degree in law, finance, business or a related field.
- At least two years of KYC, AML or compliance experience in a corporate service provider, bank, trust company or fund administrator.
- Good knowledge of UAE AML rules and of international standards (FATF recommendations, sanctions, PEP checks).
- Hands-on experience with screening tools such as World Check, Dow Jones or LexisNexis.
- Experience reviewing complex ownership structures, including holding companies and trusts.
- Very careful with details, objective and comfortable saying no when a file is not right.
- Based in the UAE or ready to relocate.
Nice to have
- CAMS, ICA or an equivalent AML certificate.
- Experience with clients or entities in Hong Kong, mainland China or Switzerland.
- Experience preparing KYC packs for bank account opening.
- Knowledge of goAML reporting.
Languages
Fluent English is required. Arabic, French or Mandarin is a plus.
